S.O.S Polonia is not an exclusively Polish port-of-call for support in Southampton. We often hear a cry of s.o.s from local authorities and organizations who, alarmed by the sudden inflax of EU migrants, try to understand what is going on.
If you would like to talk about your work with the Polish people or if there is anything important that you would like to communicate to us - any message / announcement/ notice / publication - please let us know and we place it on the notice board in our centre or on the Polish part of this website.

Why SOS Polonia
The beginning of a migrant's life in a new land is never easy. It is like making your way through a jungle of unknown laws and regulations, customs and traps.
Therefore we should share our knowledge and experience, draw comfort from each other and dispel fears.
This is why SOS Polonia are here.
Passports to a bright future for the diverse community in Southampton
7th of February saw a real invasion of Polish people in our centre. Many (in fact, too many) people turned up for the Polish Consulate Open Day in Southampton and the most honourable VIPs in this crowd were .... babies!!! Born in Southampton from Polish parents (in some cases just one of the parents was Polish) they were queuing orderly for their first Polish passport. Both Consuls were working with no break from 10 am to 5.45 pm and for the S.O.S team it was a real challange to organise this amazing parade of babies including 6 cases of double blessing: 6 pairs of twins! Is there something in the air of Southampton? Or maybe Polish residents have just doubled their efforts working towards the bright future of the diverse community of Southampton!
