The 1st
December 2009 - in celebration of the National Day of Romania, the Honorary
Consulate of Romania in Southampton will host, in "La Marguerite" Restaurant, 1
Town Quay, Southampton SO14 2AQ, starting with 19.30 hrs., the quartet of
electronic violin "Hypnotique" and the young artist Alina Eremia
concert, organized by Romlink Media.
Founded in 2007 in Bucharest,
"Hypnotique" started in the autumn of the same year at the George
Enescu International Music Festival. Due to the complexity and variety of
musical genres covered (pre-classical and classical, cafe concert, pop/ dance
and popular/ folk), but also to the interpretation and the arrangements of the
parts, the group became known internationally in record time.
Now, the quartet of electronic violins "Hypnotique" is the only group
of its kind in Europe. Its members are: Alina
Horez-Violin 1, graduate of the National Academy of Music, Iulia Andreea Smeu-
Violin 2, student of the National Academy of Music, Marta Bãceanu - Piano,
graduate of the National Academy of Music, Andreea Ghitan - Viola, student of
the National Academy of Music.
Alina Eremia was noticed by her talent and artistic performance achieved to
date. At only 6 years old, Alina won the Grand Prize at the Gala Tip Top Mini
Top, then won first place in competition Ti amo, Popularity Prize at the
International Song Festival for Children and Adolescents Golden Star, second
prize in Mamaia children. When she was just 11 years old, she represented Romania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
held in Hasselt, Belgium. In 2008 she received the
Trophy Contest "Pearls of Berlin", and this year received two prizes:
Radio Romania-Junior and first prize at the Festival George Grigoriu. Alina was
born in Buftea in 1993, for 6 years she was a member of Miracle group and for
the last five years she is studying piano at the School of Music
and Fine Arts Bucharest.
