During the last 4 years Polish migrants and their quite noticeable presence in the city of Southampton have been under endless discussion as a topic at meetings and conferences, a matter of dispute and concern, the subject of studies and an object of interest.
Therefore we thought that it would be useful to organise a conference where, rather than being just the talking point the Polish people would take a talking part for a change.
The theme of the evening will be ‘Most frequently asked questions answered by Poles themselves'. We hope that you will find it interesting to hear the Polish migrant workers' first hand account about their life in Southampton, plans for the future, things they would like to thank this city for, concerns they may have and, perhaps, some apologies.
We believe that this event will be an important step towards social harmony, cultural awareness and mutual understanding between the communities in our city.
Looking forward to seeing you and anyone from your organisation who would like to join us.
