Basic salary on most is around £23,000 / year. Generally with overtime & bonus scheme, most drivers will earn more than £30,000. Due to the structure of their insurance, they can also employ LGV 1 drivers aged 18+. Most companies insist drivers must be over 25. They don’t.

Full training will be given. Start date is immediate, following successful driving assessment which will be carried out at their Millbrook site.

Saints Foundation is an independent charity aligned to Southampton Football Club, using the power of sport and the Football Club brand as a catalyst for engagement. Saints Foundation delivers a wide range of programmes supporting disadvantaged young people and vulnerable adults, as well as creating a broad range of opportunities for young people to enjoy and participate in sport.

What is the role?  The Saints Foundation are looking for Casual Youth Workers (CASUAL YOUTH WORKER – JOB DESCRIPTION) to assist and deliver the objectives of the Kicks and Saints Connect programme in accordance with the expectations of the Saints Foundation and funding partners. Within the Saints Connect and Kicks projects you will register attendees and monitor and evaluate the sessions. You will engage successfully with young people and assist in planning and delivering specific Youth Clubs and sports coaching sessions.
Understanding the role of Saints Foundation within Southampton Football Club is vital and the successful candidates will represent the Club in a professional manner at all times. Although the Saints Foundation is currently looking for Youth Workers to deliver within a number of initiatives across Southampton additional opportunities to deliver within the Coxford Youth Club have become available. Specifically, the Saints Foundation is looking for a Session Lead and Youth Club staff to coordinate Coxford Youth Club activities on a Wednesday and Friday evening, 6pm-8pm. It would be advantageous if candidates had youth work qualifications and/or experience.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with a passion for working with young people. A youth work qualification is compulsory in a role which requires a real passion for charity work and inspiring others.
You need to be personable, work well with colleagues and partners as well as being a promoter and organiser.

Get Into The NHS

There is only two weeks left until the taster day for  “Get Into The NHS Southampton” and there are still spaces remaining for this great programme.

Get Into the NHS is a FREE near four week practical training programme for work-ready unemployed young people that have good levels of English and Maths, aged between 16 to 25 and interested in a career in the NHS sector. There will be a two week training course looking at employability with NHS followed by one weeks work experience in Southampton University Hospital, then in the final week there will be three days where the young people will have sessions including money management, employability, mock interviews, one to one career support and a final presentation. The young people will gain a level 1 Certificate for working in the Health Sector and receive up to 6 months support from The Prince’s Trust to help them find a job.

The NHS staff will be inviting interested and eligible young people to a taster day on 3rd June 2014 at the University Southampton Hospital where the group will find out more about the programme, meet the team and complete necessary paperwork. Please note that attending the taster day does not guarantee a place on the course the taster day forms part of our recruitment process, allowing both the young person and the Prince’s Trust to decide if the course is suitable.

For young people selected to start the programme, the dates and the locations are as follows:

W/C 16TH and 23rd June:  2 weeks NHS employability training at University Southampton Hospital, Tremona Road, Southampton, SO16 6YD.

W/C 30th June:  1 week work placement at University Southampton Hospital, Tremona Road, Southampton, SO16 6YD.  Young people will be expected to work shift patterns, up to 35 hours per week Monday/Sunday.

W/C 7th July: First day (7th July) at The Prince’s Trust Centre Southampton 61-64 High Street, Southampton, S014 2NS, followed by two days (8th & 9th July) at University Southampton Hospital, Tremona Road, Southampton, SO16 6YD.

Please note that any travel costs for young people will be reimbursed, including attending the taster day.
